NRA Certification Range Safety Officer Class Range Safety Officer Training Offer Bob Ross has announced plans to offer a Range Officer Certification training session this spring. There have been several inquiries already, but there are still additional spots available. For anyone who supervises matches, conducts pistol, rifle or DNR hunter safety training, this is a good idea. The Itasca Gun Club has passed a resolution to provide IGC members who agree to participate with scheduled events a scholarship of 50% of the $85.00 course fee. The training session is scheduled for May 8th, 2010 and you can inquire about the training by email or calling Bob Ross 218-326-6223.

Youth Programs Volunteer Service Itasca Gun Club requires that all members kindly provide 5 hours of voluntary service to the club each year. We know how busy you are and that's why almost anything that relates to the clubs activities can be counted. Members who have difficulty making arrangements to appear at the range to help with projects, events or matches may choose to provide other services such as newsletter articles, press releases or helping make phone calls. For folks who just can't find a way to help out in person, we offer yet another choice. You have the opportunity to get off the hook for only $25.00 each year. We have to face the fact that an all volunteer club generates a lot of work to be done. Everything that can't be done by volunteers, has to be farmed out to folks for hire. This $25.00 "in lieu of volunteer service payment" helps round out the budget for work that we hire out. Itasca Gun Club is currently in need of volunteers to write short articles for the club newsletters. You can pick a topic of special importance to you and cover that subject only. Length and frequency of articles is at your discretion. For more information click here to contact Jeff Sundin
